What Do You Believe?

This is a New Year… 2015. It seems like the last year went slow and fast all at the same time. What a confusing concept. I cannot say that the last year was great… it had it’s fair share of hiccups and things that were not going the way I would have liked them to go. I am sure the same is with you. believeEspecially if you have been in chronic pain throughout 2014.

One of the things that happens with chronic pain is that because it has been there so long there becomes a belief that it will stay there. Maybe this is an unconscious belief and you are not aware of it.

If I had a dollar for every time I heard after a treatment… wow the pain is gone, less or almost gone and I simply cannot believe it then I would be a wealthy woman. There is a part that believes it was going to stay or that it should stay. Unfortunately many times these individuals end up talking themselves back into the pain.

The bad thing with this underlying belief is that the mind is much more powerful than you have been trained to see. If you think the pain should be there then maybe you will be able to talk the pain into coming back, unconsciously of course. This is a very real phenomenon in the medical field and it is called the “Placebo Effect”. The medical community has been trying to get around the Placebo Effect for generations.

What do you want to believe today… what do you want your unconscious to bring into your existence? I am sure you do not want to bring more pain… so believe it is possible to be painfree. Imagine what it would be like to be that way just to make it more believable to your mind. Do not worry how you are going to get there today. The resources you need will come… you have to believe first.

HUGS!!!
