I am always telling my patients and my clients they need to breath. It seems that this world is going faster and faster by the minute and we end up holding our breaths because it is moving too fast for us to catch up. The problem with that is it triggers a stress reaction in your body and you immediately go into a fight or flight mode. What this means for you is that your immune system cannot fully activate. If you body is in the mode of danger and you need to fight it or run away from it or you will not survive to see the next minute then it really does not matter if there are some bacteria in your body or some tissues that need repaired. Your body is not going to worry about those trivial things. I know it seems crazy but keep in mind this is a VERY primal reaction and that is what kept the human species alive back in the caveman days. It was very important back then it just outlived its usefulness. Now we consciously have to override it and the best way to do that is to take full deep breaths. Use your lungs from the very bottom to the very top.
